kiwi sport/dance

 L.I to make beats with our body parts

 This week, The year 7s and year 8’s had Kiwisport,This term Panmure Bridge school is doing Dance for this term. We are working with Rebecca, Rebecca is our dance teacher. This week our theme is about getting into rydem and making the same beat at the same time.  I enjoyed making beats with my hands,feet and other body parts. I also really enjoyed dancing to one of my favorite songs, Say So by Doja cat . Moving around with my friends and dancing to the music was really funny and fun to do.

Volleyball/kiwisport

L.I to use the skills of volleyball in a game situation
For the last week of kiwi sport we were practising our spiking and we had to recap of what we did over the last few weeks. Then we had a few games of elimination if we had got the ball out we had to go out and wait till the people in your team to do three touches then you could come back in.then we played a 1 server game and you had to get all of the people in your team with 1 server . the first team to get there whole team wins.

Tennis

this week for tennis we had to do 1 on 1 there is a champion and there is a
challenger and there are five balls who ever gets out has to get out and go to
the back of the line after the games we had to have a challenger and the challenger makes it to the semi finals.

then we had to fed it in to the challenger and it was fun because there was a limit from were the ball had to go out and it would be easier to get the other people out easy because they have a little square
and the champion has a big square easier for the challengers.

Tennis

this week for kiwi sport we had tennis and we where working on our back hand and our  forehand
the coach that  was teaching us was coach peter and he helped us make sure we where doing the  hitting properly.

HIT

L.I.to test your strength
this week for Kiwi sport we have been doing hit we were testing our strength and heart rate.First our teacher put on some music and we were doing a boxing game we had to put one hand on the side on our head and use our other hand for touching there shoulder.If the person touched there shoulder they have to go into a push up position and the other partner has to hold there hands up and the other person has to high five them and then we had to get in to a partner.

for kiwi sport we played ki o rahi and we had to throw the ball and the cantata and our coach was coach shines and when we throw the ball we had to hit the cantata and when hit it we had to go out of the cones and we had to hit it under a minit

for kiwi sport we played ki o rahi and we put on ripper tags and a belt for my rippers to hang on and when you touch the Poe you can run in thee the circal wear the blue cones are and put the ball down.

for kiwi sport we played ki or rahi  and we played a game of kioma role and we had to play like golden child and we first have to  kick the ball and kioma has to give us the ball well
and well they run we have to try to get the poe and well they get the poe you have to get around
and put the ball down  in the cercal and pass it to your teammate and switch teas for the next round

kiwi sport-ki o rahi


.LI to learn the basics of ki o rahi
today we learnt bascs  of ki o rahi by first  whatching a video 

the first game we played was taniwha and kioma  this  was like  rats and rabbits a taught us the name of  the 2 teams 

the 2nd  game we played  was 8 pass on the court. this taught us to speed out throw the ball and 
work together

boxing


on Wednesday we went to kiwi sport and for our kiwi sport we did boxing and our punches we did were 10 punches and we went up and up in till 50 punches and we went on the court and we did the something but we had to switch over .

L.I how to do defense and how to do left hook right hook right uper cut and left uper cut those were my favorite moves and combos.

Boxing

L.I i learnt about defense and how to block
my face and how to do other new combos
we had to get in to partners and my partner
was  Leroy and we had to get two glove and
Leroy had to get a noodle and i had to get a
cone and put it in the middle of me and leroy
and we had to stand in or rock perversion and
Leroy had to hit me with  the noodle whale i moved back
and after we did that i  had to switch with Leroy and
i had the noddle and he had the cloves and we did
the same thing over and over again.

boxing

L.I how to do the combination to do like right hook left hook right uper cut left uper cut
and that was one of the combinations we learnt and the other one was jab jab cross
and then we did rock paper scissors and  who ever won had to get a glove and who lost had to get two noodles for the pool and hold it in the middle and wait in till you get a  combination and you do the combination if someone does not listen to the instructor you have to do one burpees all the was up and if you get pass three you are having a bad day .



we had to have a combination   and some of the combinations a easy.

most of the combinations are hard because it goes up an up
in till you are tired .

this is what we do  for kiwi sport we had to put on our gloves and put on punching gloves
then after we where done we had to make a circle and we made shore we had space and
after we made shore we had space we  had to start practicing our punching our punches we had to learn was the uppercut the hook it was fun learning the punch and learn new punches.

Boxing





on Thursday we learnt how to do boxing these are the things i learnt
respect Discipline safety and the persition we had to stand in was the rock position

then my partner had to test my rock persition out it should be stabled so no one can push you
over so you wont fall and my partner was Leon he  is a good  partner but this is the punches we learnt
we learnt the jab and cross  automatic jab cross at the same time it was fun and it makes people get fit and strong and it helps with self defense we had to do the rock persition and we also did
 left hand straight out and right  hand by or jaw and we put or right  hand straight out and your left hand has to be by your jaw.

Swimming

this is what we did for swimming this is Kelly's group and we had to get a noodle a go on our back with our feet first and we had to do sculling at the same time and we went foreword with the noddle and i was fun to do and i enjoyed it.

this is what we did for swimming kellys group mad a worm pool and James group joined us
to make the worm pool even better the worm pool did not end up OK but we tried and tried
in till we got it it was fun then we had a board each then we had to make waves and we had
to swim trough the waves then we had current we where swimming with the current when we had the waves we all went under because it was easy and not rough but the current one was easy because you can just lie down on your back and let the current push you.

on Thursday we had our last week for swimming  this is a list of what we were doing
this is what Kelly group did i was in Kelly group we had fun and this is the pools we went to this
is the panmure pools this is were we went with the YMCA.


  • Floating on back, no noodle
  • Kicking on back
  • Feet first sculling with noodle
  • Diving to get ring
  • Seated dive practice
  • Any swimming, roll onto back.

Swimming

For swimming we had to put on a life jacket we had to sit the wall then we
had to do a pencil dive well holding your mouth then you have to step to the edge then take a big step then you have fall into the pool then we had to make a huddle then try not to touch the floor then  you put your arm under there armpit then we mad a chain then that how we would make it out to a island so  people  can see us but we  did the chain in the pool the chain in the pool was  the best even wene we had the life jackets on then we had to try to touch  the bottom of the pool but only some of us can only do it .
