Rugby Event

What I found out by researching the question is that the All Blacks is an amazing team.  

swimming

L.I To learn  water  safety skills
 
This week for swimming was our last week and we swam as a whole group and  had to put on
life jackets.  We had to swim to the wall.  Then  we had to hug our legs. and try to float. Then we did our pencil dive was to jump in just like  a pencil. Then we had to get out and have a shower to rinse the life jacket off. Then we had to take it off. when we did swimming it was amazing

places to visit in japan

This week we have been learning about the Rugby World Cup that has been held in Yokohama, Japan. We had to do five slides of where we wanted to go in Japan. We researched lots of places to find about the facts.The five places that we want to visit in Japan are, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido, and Fuji.

Rube goldburge/simple machines

L.I To learn the five simple Machine and apply what you learnt to make a simple Machine.

Our Rube Goldburg machines were tested and presented. We had to choose one scenario out of three.  A Rube Goldburg machine is a complicated machine made to do a simple task. Our scenario was putting a ball into the goal, but the main idea was to put the ball in the cup.If you wanted someone to be one of the part in the machine then they had to wear a blindfold. Also when they wear the blindfolds something or someone must touch a object to trigger the item..

Example : 

Say if you were in the machine and something touches you then you move. You can't see which direction you are going or what direction you going to hit something into.

What we used : 

We also had to include the simple machines.

The 4 main Parts were 

1-wheel and axle

2-Lever

3-Pulley

4-Inclined Plane.

Experiences In the groups :

Each member in the groups thought was that our machine was going to fail because the person putting might of hit the ball in the wrong direction. But our simple machine worked. Every part of the simple machine worked.

What I would do Differently :

I will change the part when someone pushes the domino's and someones finger is their. So when the domino's touch someones finger and they push the pull. Just to make it is easier.

Literacy

LI: apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the RWC.

 For this activity I had to match the positions to the players. I had to put 

pictures of  the players and there position .

World time

L.I to no the time  when the world cups going to start

this week we had to do a slide and i did  the  world time and it is fun we had to  check the time when the rugby world cup is going to be in japan and the time is 6pm.

reading

this week for reading we had to do a faulty reasoning 

and doing faulty reasoning is fun.

Advertisement

L.I to make a persuasive advertisement.

this week for writing we had to make  a advertisement to sell Mr Wong  and i was
selling Mr Wong a La Ferrari.

Kiwi Can

L.I to cope with challenges
 we learnt how to face our challenges   and experience/attempt them we looked at 3 different types of
challenges and wrote about our fellings.  when we face those challenges we figured out coping strategies in qroups of three.

SSR selfie

this week for SSR selfie  i did  ancient Egypt and it was a good book  to rad
and it was fun.

LI: to create a persuasive advertisement.

this week for writing we had to sell a product or a car and i chooses

a la Ferrari and the la Ferrari is my favorite car because it is the fastest

car i liked.

Swimming

this week for swimming we had   safe entry. then we did our  stream lines. then  we used the board to do arm strokes. if we needed air we would turn around on our backs to breathe it was kind of fun because we got to go for a swim and enjoy the nice and cold water because it was hot .

Bomb grid

we had to find a successful path. we had to add arrows to show the successful path.

then we had to write  sentences to explain the successful path. the sentence explained

how to arrow moved. we had to rotate and turn we had to turn it 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise.

i had to slide it  up and down  and left to right.

L.I to deal with challenges
We need to practice dealing  with challenges to deal with challenges to deal with  them easily in the future. we did a bus stop activity we had to explain the challenge in the photos .

duffy assembly

this week for duffy assembly we had jamie wall he goes on vacation to see rugby games
and see what he has seen and puts it on a book so he can make a bookstore wall is from wellington
jamie wall made his book and the name of the book is name brothers in black and he works for maori Tv,radio nz,newshub and stuff .

the events and teams he goes to and see are ufc,boxing all blacks worriors
cricket,super rugby,FFA wc.
 the country he goes to are japan,Italy,Argentina,France,England,Ireland,Australia

his dad had gave him a book about the all blacks and the scores that the all blacks scored
in each game.

maths

this week for maths we had to do a google drawing about flip,rotation and translation translation means 

sliding like moving left to right .

inquiry

this week for inquiry we had to do a screw and we had to wrap a tube around a stick and and try to pick up water by turning it and the tool we used in named a screw.

L.I to cope  with challenges

this week for kiwi can we did a activity we had to make a cross that involves shapes and
we had to make a cross some of us did not pass but some people where close to doing the
cross because they never gave up the thing we where learning about dealing with challenges.

writing

this week for writing we had to find somthing that we wanted to sell and
i picked a ferrai but i wanted to do a monte carlo but i changed my mind
so i did the ferrari instead because it looks intresting that someone might
want to buy it .
