Kiwi Can


This week for kiwi Can we were learning about role models. Role models are people who inspire you and someone you can look up to. We started off with our energizer called hammer. It was related to the topic because we were trying to work together and trying to listen. Next we talked about whp role models are in our lives and how they are role models. Most people chose their mum. After we talked about who inspires you in your family. Then we played our activity called picture it. It was related to the topic because it was about working together as a team to get the picture. Lastly we played a GKQ (General Knowledge Questions) game. It was girls vs boys. The goal was to try to answer the question. When the last person gets out, theire team loses. This week at kiwi can was fun.

Kiwi Can

Today was the second week of kiwi can for LS2. In Kiwi Can the was theme was positive Relationship and are topic is give it a go and we also played games.The games was called 1v1 ,gkq and don’t touch the cones the first game that we played was don't touch the cones and the way we play the game was where you have to find a partner and put the put the cones in the middle then the teacher will say the magic word the magic word could be anything so if he or she says the word cool and he or she says sentence  and is they the word in the sentence and you have to get the cone a        



1v1 was one of the games we played and it was a lot of fun.this is how we played it. We had to get into groups of 2 then we had to face the  opposite side of the person you were next to.Then Mr C-Manu  said a word that we had to do then he would sae 321 go then we trend around and faced  your partner then we had to make the best funny faces that we can do it was fun and funny.


At the end we played G,K,Q in this game. We played boys vs girls.we had to get in  two lines . Some of the boys went into the girls team and the first people in front of the line went first.The first  people were Jayden and Fau.  Fau kept on going down the line until Matthew answered the question fast so fau got out .

this week for Kiwi Can we had were learning about respect and we were playing a game that has basketballs and there was a line  and there had to be a person in front of the line and they had to pass the ball back and ford in till the person in the front gets back to the front and they have to run and try to get a goal.

L.I to Respect other for their differences

Everyone has their own beliefs/ideas/customs. hold your tongue ( think about what you should say before you say anything because it might be rude in their Culture.

Learn about other cultures and religions and custom. The activity we played was spot the difference.
and we had to number ourselves 1 to 2   so when we switch she says the number that we put ourselves in to we had to change something of ours so they wont recognize what we changed they have to change appearance.

Then we played a game named master tag  someone has to yell out a name and we have to count down from 10 and when the last person gets tagged we cant tag back so when the last person to get tag when the counting stops.

this week for kiwi can we played a game we had to put one of  our hands at the back our back and when we say go me and my partner had to pull it out and make  a number  with your hands for Example if i pull out  a one  and my partner pulls out a five we have to add it up five plus one equal  five and the first one to say the number wins.

then we played a game the name of the game was named musical cones we had to dance and we had to stay on the  side that we got put on and when the music stops we have  to get a cone
from the middle and put on out head and sit down if we survive the last cone the last one to get the cone wins the game.

this week for kiwi Can we had to  play a game named rock paper scissors someone wins we had to stay up and when they lose we had to go on our knees when we get  out again  we are out until someone wins the round. then we played another activity we played was animal choir
and when he points a bottle at us we have to say the animal sound he gives us the lions one .

then we had to do the combo if he points at us with his hand we can not speak in the animal languahe gives us until he points the bottle to point at the group.

This week for kiwi can we were talking about what we did last week.

Then we play a game called The leader then she gave us a action so we can show the people in groups all together the first one was clap our hands all together two  times. then we played a  game called knot  we had to get in to a circle and put our hands in to th middle but we can not grab the persons hand next to us we had to grab the person we had to grab the person  across from us so i would not be easy the undo then once we did the knot we had to und do the knot.this week we were talking about respecting yourself and talking about strength

L.I to treat other people how you want to  get treated
this week for kiwi can we played a game named physical challenges we had to get a partner the same size and try to get up without our hand touching the floor then


we had to do a human pyramid the strong people have to be at the bottom and there has to be two people in the middle and one person on

the top then we had to get in to a circle and put our hands on the person in front of me and once we do that we have to try to sit down on the persons lap.

then we played another game we had to have hand guns with our fingers and when they call our names we have to duck and if they don´t call  your name the people next to the person that got there

then we played verses we had to do a favorite then when he calls a two things you can go to what  you like the most.

for  an example : 
 if he says two things like chocolate and milk chocolate and i would run to the one i would prefer the most and i would prefer milk chocolate then we have to give the best argument 
and he has to decide what is the best argument and choose a side that wins.

challenges and wrote about our fellings.  when we face those challenges we figured out coping strategies in qroups of three.

L.I to focus more(not to get distracted)

we learned how to not get distracted. distracted means to fall out of focus many things can distract us
like people talking or pyhsically annoying each other to learn about distraction we played a game called Distraction Circle in the game we had to get in a group of five and we had to go in a qiute place so we can do some actions so the middle can see what one has  distracted him the most .
the actions we had to do was read a story to them  the person in the middle said that the person doing the action.

game: this  week for kiwi can we where played a game and it was named rats and rabbits
we had to pick up the cone when the kiwi can leader says rat or rabbits and if we pick
up the cone we win and we have to find another partner to go with i lost by Angelica
because she picked up the cone first and i when to the side and watched the others played well
people lost to other people . 

energize: we had four games to play one was doing Maori colours to match the English
colour  name and there was a exercise activity there was 5 push ups, 5  sit ups ,5 Burpees and 5
sqauts
then there was writing the alphabet back words . and doing that catchphrase with different moves.

this week the games we played where hard because we had to draw the abc´s backwards
and my group i was with where loud so i got confused of what letter to write.

the exercise game was hard because do 5 berpees and 5 push ups and 5 sit ups
some of my group where exhausted from doing  5 berpees and 5 push ups and 5 sit ups
sqauts

because some where struggling to do the push ups because your putting all of  your waight
on your arms and it hurts.

energizer: we had to do head shoulders nees and toes but when the kiwi can leader says toes
we had to pick up the cones.

it was fun because we had to learn about self control and we had to do a game named
drama we had to do a play that involved self control.

this week we went to kiwi can and The energizer was emotions we had to hive five each other and the ne thing we did was star jumps then we planks to 10 seconds then we did 20 after that we did 30 second then we did 1 minute that was hard but I just gave up.

the energizer was emotion Charades that was a game that you have to act like what the paper says and that was fun because my one was being on stage in a talent show  that was fun because people had to guess what it was and that was the energizer we did .

The catchphrase we did was talk to me truthfully  that called Honesty
the energizer we did was roll play and we got a play  and my groups
play was change and we act like the shop keeper gave us the wrong money and we got given a situation  to be Honest
  to the shop keeper and that was showing honesty and the shop keeper gave the person who was
my groups situation was change and we had a shop keeper who gave the kid who buys a bubble gum
and the shop keeper gives the wrong amount of money and the person who got the money goes out
side and tells his friends and tells him what should he do give it back or go  home and his friends tell
him to give it back to the shop keeper  .
