Summer learning journey/2020

this week we had people come and give people prizes to people that have participated
in the Summer learning journey they give prizes to each person that has joined and done the summer learning journey. 

Tech Reflection

we went to tamaki collage and  we had to do coding we had to try make the m bots move on mblock
we had to use algorithms. then we had to try to make the mbot to try to make  the lights turn on and we had to try to make the mbot make noise.

Tech

This week for tech we were learning  how to program the Mbots  . We were learning how to make sounds and colours on the mbots. Then we had to make the mbot sing happy birthday.We also had to make the colours in sync with the song so it would be cool.We had to record the Mbots changing colours so that we can put in the DLO that miss ferguson sent us.

Kiwi Can

Today was the second week of kiwi can for LS2. In Kiwi Can the was theme was positive Relationship and are topic is give it a go and we also played games.The games was called 1v1 ,gkq and don’t touch the cones the first game that we played was don't touch the cones and the way we play the game was where you have to find a partner and put the put the cones in the middle then the teacher will say the magic word the magic word could be anything so if he or she says the word cool and he or she says sentence  and is they the word in the sentence and you have to get the cone a        

1v1 was one of the games we played and it was a lot of fun.this is how we played it. We had to get into groups of 2 then we had to face the  opposite side of the person you were next to.Then Mr C-Manu  said a word that we had to do then he would sae 321 go then we trend around and faced  your partner then we had to make the best funny faces that we can do it was fun and funny.

At the end we played G,K,Q in this game. We played boys vs girls.we had to get in  two lines . Some of the boys went into the girls team and the first people in front of the line went first.The first  people were Jayden and Fau.  Fau kept on going down the line until Matthew answered the question fast so fau got out .

Tech

We went to tamaki college to go to tech. We had to  go outside and we had one person try to control us and we had to tell the people 3 things to do and after i tell them three things to do then they have to copy the actions and movements i told them to do. Then we went inside to try to make the robots move. We were told the activity we were playing we were using algorithms. we had to follow the rules that we were told. It was like I was a Commander and I had to tell the robot what to do and it would do it.

Kiwi can

this is the Theme:positive Relationship-Fairness and fairplay. the energize we played were change places.then we had to thing about a time we showed or didn't show empathy.then we had to think of how we could do this in a game situation. we can cheer them on,encourage,advice and help people.
empathy means kind , supportive , courteous , confidence , show respect, donating . consideration means Thinking about others and how they might feel with the actions you take.

Thinking Teams (ordering numbers )

Today in maths we worked in our thinking teams to find the answer to two math questions.
In the photo you will see my group, the Mathematical Ninjas working out number value of our group name. To do this we used addition strategies our place value knowledge.

Current events/National

Today we were learning about current events. We used multiple sites to find information based on national news. Working in groups of 4 - 6 we created a google map site plotting the areas that have been affected or something has been going on there.
